Home for the Holidays Basic Essentials Drive

Help local families transitioning out of homelessness with our ‘HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS’ Drive benefiting United Community Action Partnership (UCAP). In 2023, the Women’s Fund granted $1,500 to create 20 welcome home kits. However, UCAP could use 25-35 annually. The Women’s Fund would like to create more kits! Your support enables UCAP to equip families moving out of their homeless shelter and into homes of their own with the basic essentials to help them succeed! Pick  up these basic essential items now through December 12th and drop them off at the WACF office or use our Amazon Wish List!  

 

Having a place to call home it fantastic but having items to make that home function is a whole different level of appreciation for UCAP families to enjoy.  So many of these simple pleasures are taken for granted but for a family moving out of homelessness with nothing and to being blessed with these simple items is validation that they too deserve a happy, healthy start to a new chapter of their life.
