2023 Caring for Women Campaign Update

Be a part of our 2023 Caring for Women Campaign along with other like-hearted women that see the value in the collective impact of community.

Together . . . we can make an impact in the lives of women and children. Together, we can inspire change to make a difference as we care for our community.

Save the Date! June 1

Caring for Women Campaign Kickoff

Join us for our Caring for Women Campaign Kickoff event on June 1 at O’Neil’s Event Center in Spicer. We are excited to update, inspire, and ask you to join our campaign in 2023! We’ll share updates on last year's grant recipients, including Heather Jeseritz, Director of Community Services, at United Community Action Partnership (UCAP). We’ll inspire with grant goals for 2023. And, of course, we’ll invite you to join us in giving to the Caring for Women Campaign. Additionally, we’re looking forward to Mackenzie Dohmann, owner of Pink Apron Bakery, to provide a demo!

You can register on EventBrite at https://bit.ly/3KtQ4eh or call the Willmar Area Community Foundation office at (320) 235-4380 to reserve your spot.

We hope many of our donors and community supporters will attend the Kickoff. We promise to add some entertainment and inspiration in under two hours on your Thursday night, while enjoying great company and amazing appetizers and beverages from O’Neil’s. Please consider being a leader of women by supporting our 2023 campaign and making your donation at the Kickoff event.

Our 2023 Campaign Goals

  • Create flexibility for our partner organizations to support critical care operational needs that improve our community. Offer grant funding to partner organizations working to build trauma informed care capacity focused on children, youth, and families

  • Broaden awareness of the intersectionality issues impacting homelessness/housing insecurity in our county, igniting solutions within our community

  • Distribute educational information via social media and e-newsletters

$10,000 Matching Funds

The Willmar Area Women’s Fund campaigners will match the first $10,000 given to this campaign. Please consider a generous donation to these worthwhile projects in Kandiyohi County and help us earn these matching funds.

Our Women’s Fund steering committee and a few strong supporters will be contacting you starting June 5th and throughout the summer to invite you to be a part of our campaign.

Thank you for joining us in saying NotHereNotOurKids! Together we can make an impact in the lives of women and children.
