Helping make holidays a little bit brighter this year for families in Kandiyohi County
If you are looking for ways to help others, consider donating to the Women’s Fund Holiday Drive to help Family Promise of Kandiyohi County. While many of us exchange gifts and spend time with our family and friends to celebrate the holidays, there are many people who aren’t as fortunate.
What is Family Promise?
The mission of Family Promise is to help homeless families. They work with families to take the necessary steps toward independence. Family Promise of Kandiyohi County relies on community support to allow them to provide shelter and services.
The Women’s Fund continues to explore the intersection of trauma and homelessness/housing insecurity here in Kandiyohi County and recently heard Director, Kelsey Vosika, talk about unmet needs. Children’s and personal care products are challenging for families due to cost. To help, the Women’s Fund is launching a Holiday Drive benefiting local families at Family Promise. Here are the items most in need:

You can drop off your items at the Willmar Area Community Foundation office, 1601 Hwy 12 E, Suite 9, Willmar, MN 56201. Hours: M-Th 8am-4:30pm and F 8 am-12 noon.
